Summer is coming and that means our kids are looking forward to camp and the rest of us are looking forward to new opportunities to reach them with the Good News that their lives can be radically and forever different.

This year, for the first time, all of our kids will have the opportunity to attend a camp. Thanks to Life Church in Reno, our kindergarten, first, second, third, and fourth graders can attend Surge, a day camp the same week as our 5th grade through high school students go to Pathfinders Camp at Cowboy’s Rest, 60 miles south of Elko.

Described as “VBS on steroids,” SURGE provides our kindergarten through fourth grade kids the experience of a day camp the same week as our older children and youth go away to Cowboy’s Rest. Our young children will be exposed to the Gospel each day while having fun with their Pathfinders friends. It’s a wonderful opportunity for them.

This year’s camps and our discipleship program following camp are, by far, the most expensive ever. The charter bus alone is almost $15,000! Fees, supplies, etc. add another $7,000. If God leads you to do so, we would appreciate any financial donations. Just specify that the funds are for camps.

Every child/youth, 5th grade and above making a decision to follow Jesus at camp will be encouraged to enroll in an 8-week Pathfinders discipleship course on Thursday evenings.

Our kids are so, so precious. Will you commit to praying for them?
